Single cask hogshead TWB1027 bottled October 2021 to mark the Fra Mauro landing site of the Apollo 14 Mission, 1971. 257 numbered bottles. On January 31st, 1971, Apollo 14 launched from the Kennedy Space Center & landed on the Fra Mauro Highlands, the intended landing site of the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission. Despite serious problems during the lunar descent, threatening to abort the mission & in turn the future of the Apollo program, Commander Alan Shepard manually steered the lunar module onto the surface. Stepping onto the Moon, Shepard proclaimed " And it's been a long way but we're here". Scored 89 points on Whisky Fun.com
