The Sleeping Warrior release comprises Arran single malt whisky matured in both European & American oak casks. Arran Machrie Moor is a peated expression of Arran malt whisky. Nose: The nose is fresh & vibrant; a delightful combination of classic dried fruits, vanilla essence, along with spiced-wood aromas. A touch of butterscotch & orange zest with light peat in the background. Palate: Palate is dominated by warm & rich sherry sweetness, prunes & apricots primarily, with hints of European oak, nutmeg, white pepper & muscovado sugar. Over time, a subtle touch of tobacco leaf & green tea emerges. Finish: Lingering sweet & spicy notes with a delicate smoky twist towards the end.
