Product Description

St. George luxury chess pieces presented in traditional Ebony & Boxwood. This design originates from the famous St George Chess Club & was a very popular in England circa 1800. This design predates the familiar Staunton look & features a stylised 'stacked disc' detailing. The pieces are substantial in the hand & weighted perfectly. In many ways they represent a dicotomy of tradition mixed with a simplified design that could be described today as modernist. These chess pieces are of the highest calibre, produced in limited quantities & will sit perfectly on any of our 23 inch boards. A total of four queens are included as is a genuine certificate of authenticity. This luxury Set
