Product Description

New for 2011, the Oxford Palisander chess set combines our Oxford Sheesham & boxwood chessmen & the luxury Black Anegre, Palisander Rosewood & Maple Chess Board. The pieces themselves are constructed from solid graded Sheesham wood & have been styled with the Staunton design in mind. They feature very sleek & curved shanks which lead to a relatively wide base for chess pieces of this size. The Board is finished in an ultra smooth gloss lacquer which reflects the pieces beautifully & will look at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting.
