Product Description

Supple, silky & bursting with a tangy savoury character, this is a great dinner table wine. The only thing to watch with a cab franc like this is pairing it with sweeter dishes – e.g. roast pork with apple sauce – which can fight against the green pepper savouriness. Stick with quality charcuterie, andouillette sausages, roast chicken & omelettes Domaine des Roches Neuves is a 50 acre domaine that has been a winery since 1850. Thierry Germain has been in charge since 1991, lured away from his native Bordeaux (he comes from a long line of Bordeaux winemakers) by the region's perfect balance of grapes, climate & terroir, which he considers one of the finest in France. Dark & purplish-red in the glass, with a bouquet of stewed fruits, fresh green pepper, irises, violets & an lovely ‘stalky' edge. In the mouth it is full & pure, displaying a vast complexity of ripe fruit flavours, savoury & smoky notes & grippy tannins that mingle with the acids to give it structure & a refreshing finish.
