Think pairing it to hearty red meat dishes, casseroles & other full flavoured foods. Chateau le Puy can be found on the same plateau as the renowned appellations of Saint-Emilion & Pomerol on the right bank of Bordeaux. It is classified as Cotes de Bordeaux which is considered to hold less kudos than itands prestigious neighbours. This means the wine is of the highest quality but available exclusively at The Perfect Cellar for a fraction of the cost of similar wines. This is an amazingly well made wine that oozes character & quality. The merlot dominance gives the wine a dense smooth mouthfeel packed full of dark cherry, plum, fruit cake & chocolate notes. It is seductive & smokey with a finish redolent of cranberry offering an elegant, fresh length.
