Galicia is seafood heaven, known as the âland of percebes' (barnacles), giving you some indication of how this wine is best enjoyed. Bright, aromatic & deliciously zesty, it is perfect with fish & seafood, best served with a range of dishes in the local tapas style, from calamari & baby octopus to anchovies & garlic-tossed clams. The Galician vineyards of Rias Baixas are dominated by the influence of the Atlantic. This is a green, cloudy, damp region with a coastline punctuated by rias (coastal inlets). Terras Gauda is notable for owning around 85% of its own vineyards, giving them greater control & selection over the maturation & sugar levels of the grape for their wines. White gold in colour, with a beautifully aromatic nose suggesting pineapple, apricot & mango fruit, & a backnote of grapefruit peel. In the mouth it is a very appealing, with good acids & a fresh zestiness buoyed by flavours of mandarin, lime & pineapple. It ends with a gorgeously long & clean finish. A truly delightful wine.
