About the Author Tracy A Franklin trained at the Royal School of Needlework for seven years, finally becoming Apprentice Coordinator. She teaches all aspects of traditional & modern embroidery, takes on commissions & produces work for exhibition. She is the author of New Ideas in Goldwork (0713487801) & contributed to The Royal School of Needlework Embroidery Techniques (0713488174), also published by Batsford. She lives in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. Nicola Jarvis is an experienced embroiderer who also attended the Royal School of Needlework. She lives in Manchester.
