Product Description

Invented in the 19th Century by Admiral Fitz Roy, the famous sailor & meteorologist, this amazing & mysterious liquid & crystal filled storm glass device is used for predicting weather up to two days in advance The Storm Glass liquid changes to predict the weather: if it will be fair weather, the liquid will be clear. If the weather is going to be rainy, the liquid will be murky. If thunderstorms are expected then the crystals will rise to the top of the Storm Glass & the crystals will become large & flaky if cloudy skies with snow are expected. Even windy weather is shown as the crystals form threads A wonderfully simply antique reproduction with an elegant wooden base. Meausures 29cm Packaged in a plain, brown box, this is a great gift for sailors, weather watchers, etc & makes an interesting talking-piece & a must-have home necessity so also a great gift to celebrate a new home or a wedding or engagement
