1.5m Table & Chairs … A classic design combining Natural Kubu & Reconditioned Teak … Kubu Rattan is a novel variation on the norm. At the mention of the word rattan we usually immediately think of the thinner vine rattan. However, Kubu is a much thicker variety that grows on the forest floor but once harvested is still supple enough to be manipulated by expert weavers into stunning items of furniture.   Once harvested, it is then soaked in clay, dried & cleaned off to give it the light grey, rustic appeal that makes the seating so attractive in this set. The armchairs in this dining set are a good example of this. Their striking design is enhanced by the braided edges along the armrests & backs of the chairs. Their construction is solid for regular use with the kubu being woven round sturdy cane frames with capped feet. The reddish lustre of the teak combines superbly well with light grey-brown of the kubu chairs to offer a rustic style dining indoor dining set. The reconditioned teak table is, again, hand finished using mortice & tenon joints & has a lime wash applied that highlights the grain to great effect, particularly along the table top itself.   For further support please call our friendly Sales Team in the Midlands.
