Ronix make some of the best wakeboard boots on the market with their fully custom fit range they literally work for anyone no matter the ability. The One is a tried & tested boot from Ronix originating in their line way back in 2006 for one purpose, one boot to ride everything & this boot certainly does that very well. This is one of Ronix's best selling boots every year & works perfectly for both boat & cable riding. The One uses fully custom heat moldable Intuition foam liners which mold to the shape of your foot for the best fit. This can either be done in store with custom heat molders or after several times riding in them through your own body heat. This way you can guarantee a proper fit as the closed cell foam used expands with heat & then is easily pliable, the areas which need filling get filled & the tight areas get pushed back. The one also uses Ronix's Brainframe technology chassis which has no solid base plate under foot for the best board feel plus Ronix's double stuffed footbed which sits directly onto the board. The double stuffed footbeds are asymmetric so stiffer on the outside of the foot & softer on the inside for canting without angling the footbed. Canting allows less stress to be put on the knees & ankles so better all round plus a more stance. The Brain frame is completely customisable too & you can swap & change parts where you need it plus a unique full height internal skeleton for amazing heel hold. Heel & toe lift do not happen with Brainframe technology, the gaskets come with camber to them to completely ultimate this so you can rest assured that when you put the pressure on an edge the board responds. The 2019 Ronix Kinetik Springbox 2 is the ultimate cable park board. It gives you tons of pop, plenty of speed, nimble & quick on the water & flex on rails all in one board. Its badass! Ronix Pro rider Dominik Hernler has put his name to this board for years for good reason, it really rips! Ronix's Kinetik Springbox 2 profile is a clever old thing, it allows the tips to flex so you can press away till your hearts content but still has tons of response & snap back when you want to pop out. How do they do this? A few ways starting with the 3D wood in the core, this you can see through the base, they basically flip the wood make it end grain to face the base to give more flex plus those rippled sections on the topsheet allow the board to flex more too. the end grain wood flexes easily but then wants to spring back, Ronix then add hollow fibreglass rods in the tip & tail allow it to accentuate the spring back & pop, clever hey! So when you press & need to pop high to get your spin out the Kinetik has you covered. The mellow continuous rocker on the Springbox 2 allows the Kinetik to sit higher in the water too to make it turn quick & responds quickly exactly when you want it to. Ronix compliment this with their speedwalls which give much more top water speed to keep the board nimble & agile. Ronix's speedwalls are also made from Urethane which can flex which gives the board a protective bumper all around the edge & tip & tail to protect against obstacle impact damage. Plus this is the only board in anyones line which comes with a 6 month warranty! (you must register this with Ronix). Normally as soon as you hit a kicker or rail the warranty is void but not with the Kinetic, this tells you a little about the boards quality. The One has been around for a long time designed in conjuction with pro rider Danny Harf & is still one of the best boat boards out there by a long shot. It has stayed on the same principals of the original board from 2006 but with new innovations along the way. The One Timebomb makes loads of extra pop off the wake thanks to the hollow carbon stringers which run through the board. These are light thanks to them being carbon & hollow & mean the board wont feel harsh on heavy landings like some stiff boards out there. The One Timebomb is light thanks to the air core 3 core profile too made up of a lighter PU material & full wrapped monocoque construction, yes like in supercars! This makes the traditional weak point of the flash line on a wakeboard, wraps it in high end fibre glass & makes it the now strongest point of the board. This blends into the speedwalls with less drag in the water & more glide. The Selekt has four adjustable rods on the board which can be removed or added to suit your taste. This is the thinnest board Ronix have ever produced, leave the rods off for a soft pressable & playable board. Add the rods to the centre for a stiffer belly & soft tips, add the rods to the tips for a softer belly & more spring out of obstacles, or put them all on for a more direct ride. As far as cable park boards go this is right up there for sure, it breaks the surface & glides on the top of the water with ease while having tons of press & pop.
