Headrail Options & Wide Roman Blinds The standard Roman Blind headrail supplied is a side pull headrail with integral cord lock. A cleat tidy & all child safety devices are supplied with each blind. You may also upgrade to our deluxe headrail option, that has a chain side winder. We strongly recommend this option for blinds over 1.5m wide, as once blinds get over 1.5m wide, they can become heavy to raise & lower. The geared mechanism in the sidewinder headrail make raising & lowering the blind much easier. It is fine to use the standard headrail option for larger blinds, but we only recommend this if the blinds are decorative only & will not frequently be raised & lowered. Using Roman Blinds Here are a couple of suggestions to think about when using roman blinds at a window. Fading If your window that gets a lot of sun, then fading can be a problem. This is because when the blind is raised, the bottom of each fold can fade in a line. Therefore it can be that when you lower the blind, you can get faded stripes across the Roman Blind. Choosing a 100% synthetic fibre material will greatly reduce this, as synthetic fabrics do not fade in the same way the natural fabrics do. However it may not possible to completely eliminate this problem, so please call our customer service team if you have any queories.
