A British bred variety which combines the vigour of an F1 hybrid with extreme cold tolerance to produce superb quality leeks which can withstand cold winters. It produces pure white shanks with dark leaves that stand well over a long period without bolting and is resistant to rust. An excellent long-standing leek with incredible cold tolerance and rust resistance. An ideal variety for anyone growing in exposed areas or northern climates. Sow leek seed more densely in either the garden or a patio container and use the thinnings for ‘baby’ leeks – they’re delicious and extend your cropping season!
