The spears have less fibre & are particularly tender. They make a very attractive addition to salads & retain their attractive colour when steamed, particularly in the early part of the season. Expect the first spears to appear in late April. We supply one year old crowns, grown in East Anglia, which can be picked as soon as the year after planting given favourable conditions.. A delicate & beautiful indoor fern with soft, feathery foliage, Asparagus setaceus is a beautiful addition to any contemporary or modern home. The light green leaves are a welcome splash of natural colour, & with its soft texture, this fern is the ideal living greenery for any well-lit home or office space. Keep away from radiators & cold draughts, ideally in a room with a constant temperature of above 16C (60F).
