- ‘ The finest tasting of all varieties, pick young pods when tender & eat them like mangetout’. An intensely sweet, nutty flavour. Pick the pods off when they are finger length. Slice them raw into a salad of goat’s cheese & roasted red onions, or grill them whole & scatter with shards of jamón ibérico, lemon zest & walnuts. Harvest May-July.
