Traditional pickling is an amazing way to turn all kinds of foods (not just cucumbers!) into sour, toothsome, nutritious snacks & toppings. This kit has everything you need to start making your own pickles at home: a durable, cleverly designed fermentation crock that's a third of the price (and weight!) of most crocks on the market, a rewritable label to identify each batch, & a booklet of user-friendly, thoroughly tested recipes to get you started. ...

The wonderful deciduous shuttlecock fern is one of the easiest to identify, its large, pale green, lacy fronds making a striking & unmistakable shape as they start to unfurl in spring. Although happy grown among other plants, it definitely looks most striking grown in groups on its own in dappled shade, either in woodl&, in rich damp grass or in the shady margin of a pond. The plants spread slowly by underground rhizomes &, in time, will build up large groups that look simply gorgeous. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Height 150cm. Supplied in a 9cm pot. They make ideal gifts & are also perfect for any beginner house plant owner due to their undemanding nature & are very easy to grow. Place in semi-shade spots & ensure it is well-drained each time it is watered. As they grow, they will need re-potting, as necessary. Each plant will come in a 14cm pot so will be able to make an impact straight away. We cannot guarantee specific species, but the best will be sent of the available species at the time of purchase. Some houseplants are toxic to pets if ingested, please seek advice from a veterinary professional if you believe it has been consumed. Ensure you take a sample of the plant with you.
