Heavy crops of firm sweet and juicy pears with creamy-white flesh. Raised in 1885 in Hertfordshire and exhibited in that year at the British Pear Conference (hence the name) it is reliable even in poor conditions (and shows more resistance to frost than some other varieties) so is ideal for most UK gardens. Self fertile. Supplied in a 9 litre pot bag. Trees will be delivered in specially designed packaging to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. As a rough guide, trees supplied in 9 litre pot bags are 2 years old and approximately 1.5m tall when delivered. Those supplied in other size pot bags will vary.
