Often mistaken for a palm, this succulent plant, a native of the Mexican desert, is actually more closely related to the Yucca. Its swollen base stores water, so if you're forgetful about watering, this may be the ideal houseplant for you! Its impressive trunk is topped with a cluster of long, narrow green leaves which curve downward like a pony's tail. & it tolerates the dry air of modern homes extremely well! Height 30cm. Supplied in a 14cm pot. For anyone with an interest in plants, the idea that you can surround yourself, in your very own home, with a selection of exotic 'living ornaments', is intensely appealing.
