A Walker’s Notebook was published to coincide with the centenary of Wainwright’s birth. It is a pocket sized journal with a splash resistant cover, a log for walkers to fill in Lakeland & other walks as & when they have completed them. Blank data pages have space for the following notes: start location, date (s) walked, start time, finish time, route/ascent (s)/descent (s) used, & comments such as walking companions, weather, observations & experiences. Details of some useful travel & contact organisations have been provided. Also at the back of the guide are pages in which can be recorded good places to stay, stop, rest & eat.
