USA Michelin Physical Wall Map ENCAPSULATED

United States at 1:3, 450, 000 on a large, 144 x 100cm (4’7” x 3’3” approx.) wall map showing road network on a base presenting the country’s topography. State borders and names are clearly marked, and the map also has a decorative panel of state flags.Topography is shown by relief shading and altitude colouring, clearly contrasting the Rockies or the Appalachians from flatter parts of the county. Spot heights are given both in feet and in metres. The map highlights national parks and other main protected areas and also indicates Indian Reservations. State names and boundaries are clearly displayed and state capitals are marked. The map shows the country’s road network, with driving distance indicated both in miles and kilometres. Towns of particular interest and scenic
routes are highlighted. The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 5°. An inset shows different time zones.Above the map is a panel of state flags, showing for each state its nickname, size and population, date and order of accession to the Union, state capital, plus its bird, tree and flower.LAMINATED and ENCAPSULATED WALL MAPS:- LAMINATED wall maps have a thin layer of plastic usually applied to the printed side only. They can be written on with suitable marker pens without any damage to the map but, unless laminated on both sides, they are not damp-proof.- ENCAPSULATED wall maps are sealed between two sheets of plastic. They are more rigid and heavier than laminated maps of the same size. They are damp-proof and do not crinkle in humid conditions. Encapsulation
