The official map showing the routes & the nearby facilities of three events to be held from 18th to 20th September 2015 in the Catalan Pyrenees. Published by Editorial Alpina, the map has cartography of the publishers’ recreational maps of the region, with contours at 20m intervals, altitude colouring & relief shading providing a vivid picture of the challenges facing the runners. All the routes are prominently highlighted & symbols indicate various local facilities connected with the events. Also provided are route profiles for the Ultra & the Marathon, each with a list of race points.FROM THE ORGANIZER’S WEBSITE:- The ULTRA PIRINEU 2015 is one of the 5 ultra endurance events of the Skyrunner® World Series. The 110 Km mountain run with 6.800m positive gain is held on the magnificent Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, with start & finish in Bagà (Barcelona). The race will take place on September 19th & 20th 2015, & will be the last event of the series. Runners competing for the prize will get 20% extra points from this race, ensuring the participation of the best international Skyrunning athletes.- The MARATHON PIRINEU 2015 is a 45 km high-altitude mountain endurance run in conditions of semi self-sufficiency. The course runs through the stunning landscape of the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, with 2400m of positive elevation gain. The event will be held on Saturday September 19th 2015, with start & finish in Bellver de Cerdanya. Runners will climb to the mountain shelter “ Cortals de l’ Ingla” & then to the “pas dels Gasolans” (2430m) before descending to Montellà-Martinet through the mountain shelter of “ Prat d’ Aguiló” & finally returning to Bellver de Cerdanya.- The NIT PIRINEU 2015 is a night vertical run with 860m of positive gain covering a distance of 5km between “ La Molina” ski station cable-car area & the mountain shelter “ Niu de l’Àliga” (meaning Eagle’s Nest, 2520m).
