The city’s famous buildings are highlighted by small drawings, & various places of interest & facilities (museums, theatres, railway stations, consulates, etc) are cross-referenced to the accompanying lists providing their addresses. Metro connections are clearly marked & for drivers main traffic arteries are highlighted. Streets are annotated with selected house numbers. Names of larger streets & of main historic buildings are in both Latin & Cyrillic alphabets; smaller streets, squares, other buildings, etc, are in the Latin alphabet only which is also used in the accompanying index. Stanfords was established in 1853 and opened their iconic Covent Garden flagship store in 1901.
