The different London boroughs are identified with a light colour overlaid on a street map showing most streets & naming the major ones. The different railway lines & stations are indicated & named. Shadings reproduce the topography of the city & hills, parks & woodland are distinguishable & most of them are named. The map covers the city from Kew in the west to Plumstead in the east, & from Crouch End & Stamford Hill in the north to Lower Streatham & Upper Norwood in the south. Surprisingly or not most of London as we know it today seems to be already present. Its area attests to a booming city with a population of about four millions, at the time.
