Each site that is visited on this Walk has a major literary connection with our two heroes & their adventures: explore the famous Baker Street area & visit the most likely site for 221b Baker Street as well as the “ Empty House” where an attempt was made on Sherlock Holmes life; visit many of our hero`s favourite places including Harley Street, Royal Opera House, Criterion Restaurant, Neville’s Turkish Baths & the famous Café Royal & Langham Hotel; be guided along the Strand to many of the Victorian buildings often mentioned in their adventures including Charing Cross Station, Lowther Arcade, Scotland Yard & Simpson’s In The Str&, see where Moriarty tried to have Holmes murdered & the house where Conan Doyle had his unsuccessful medical practice as well as the original office’s of the “ Strand Magazine”; visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum & the Memorabilia Company. Then to finish, why not wash it all down with a pint of “ Sherlock Holmes Ale” & a meal in the famous Sherlock Holmes Pub?
