The 2015 Military Balance Chart from the International Institute of Strategic Studies focuses on Russia, presenting the locations of the country’s armed forces within its main military regions, with more detailed enlargements for specific areas, plus additional panels providing further relevant information. Russia is covered on two map panels. Western Russia including the Urals is shown with the Caucasus, indicating units stationed in Abkhazia, South Ossetia & Armenia, plus panels for the Kaliningrad Region & Crimea & enlargements for the Moscow, St. Petersburg & the Vladikavkaz areas.
