Including a big, furry, friendly Peter Rabbit hand puppet to play with, this board book gives children a chance to really play with him as they listen to the story & join in with the actions. Beatrix Potter is regarded as one of the world`s best-loved children`s authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published by Frederick Warne in 1902, she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, Benjamin Bunny, Jemima Puddle-duck, Mr. Jeremy Fisher & Tom Kitten. Her humorous, lively tales & beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood. From the revenue from the sales of her books, Beatrix Potter bought a farm
- Hill Top
- in the English Lake District, where she later became a farmer & prize-winning sheep breeder. She launched the now vast merchandise programme by patenting the very first Peter Rabbit doll in 1903. The product range continues to grow today with licences around the world including baby clothing & bedding, nursery decor products & collectables. Upon her death, Beatrix Potter left 14 farms & over 4000 acres of Lake District farmland to the National Trust so that the place that she loved would remain undeveloped & protected for future generations to enjoy. Today Beatrix Potter`s original 23 tales are still published by Frederick Warne, alongside a wide range of other formats including baby books, activity books & gift & sound books. Look out for Beatrix Potter`s original series of classic tales, published by Warne: The Tale of Peter Rabbit; The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin; The Tailor of Gloucester; The Tale of Benjamin Bunny; The Tale of Two Bad Mice; The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle; The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher; The Tale of Tom Kitten; The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck; The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies; The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse; The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes; The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse; The Tale of Mr. Tod; The Tale of Pigling Bland; The Tale of Samuel Whiskers; The Tale of The Pie & the Patty-Pan; The Tale of Ginger & Pickles; The Tale of Little Pig Robinson; The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit; The Story of Miss Moppet; Appley Dapply`s Nursery Rhymes; &, Cecily Parsley`s Nursery Rhymes.

A detailed topographic map of Peterborough from the Ordnance Survey Explorer series, covering March, Whittlesey, Chatteris & Oundle. Edition A1; Publication date April 2006 About this series: These highly detailed maps show all the administrative boundaries, settlements as small as isolated farms, the road network down to unfenced roads & country tracks, & field boundaries (hedges & drystone walls) which make navigation across the countryside much easier. Steep gradients on roads are indicated. Various landmarks, e.g. powerlines, archaeological sites, windmills, churches & lighthouses are shown & additional graphics indicate natural terrain features such as cliffs, scree, mud & vegetation variations. The contour interval is 5 metres in the lower parts of the country & 10 metres in the uplands, & spot heights are marked. Each map covers an area of 30 x 20km (i.e. approx. 19 x 12 miles), with some double-sided maps covering more, as indicated in the individual descriptions. The maps are fully GPS compatible, with the National Grid shown at 1km intervals & latitude & longitude indicated by margin ticks at 1'. The Explorer series has replaced the earlier, green-cover Pathfinder maps. The Explorer series is now complete & covers all of Engl&, Wales & Scotl&. Some sheets for popular areas like the National Parks are still branded as Outdoor Leisure (OL) maps, but are now included in this series as the cartography is the same as that in the Explorer Maps. The Explorer maps offer a substantial improvement on the Pathfinder series, with greater use of colour, larger area per map, & stronger emphasis on information for ramblers & tourists. This series is ideal for walking & other outdoor pursuits & each map shows a large amount of information for ramblers & tourists. Public rights of way are shown (except in Scotland), together with other routes with public access: National Trails & Recreational Paths, permitted paths & bridleways, & selected cycle routes. Open access land created under the Countryside & Rights of Way Act 2000 is marked. Tourist information
