Naked at Lunch is one man`s cracklingly witty, compellingly odd & oddly life-affirming journey into the subculture of nudism. Celebrated journalist Mark Haskell Smith meets, & indeed joins, those shucking off social conventions by shucking off their clothes
- he hikes bare-back in the alps with a naked rambler`s society; he buys baguettes in the buff in a French resort & he meets the marginally dressed mayor of a Spanish clothes-optional municipal. But this is not just a book of naked adventures & sun-warmed genitals. It is a study of 20th-century Western cultural & social mores; a record of radical history & politics practised by those made radical by their refusal to get dressed; an investigation of why people feel the need to get together & disrobe; & a heart-felt ‘crie de couer’ for reclaiming pride in our bodies & rejecting those who would make us ashamed.

A book that explains how power works & why diplomacy matters more than ever in our digital age. Who will be in charge of the 21st century? Governments? Google? & how do we influence the future? In the next 100 years, the world will need to deal with the same amount of social development witnessed in the last 43 centuries
- from the rebirth of the city state, the battle for new energy, disappearing borders, the desire of the world`s people to move to developed nations. Naked Diplomacy is written by a former ambassador
- the youngest appointed for 200 years. He explores the core principles of a progressive 21st century foreign policy: how to balance interventionism & national interest, use global governance to achieve national objectives & sets out an agenda for representative international systems. Fletcher discusses smart power, soft power & the new interventionism alongside lessons from history from the most notorious leaders & diplomats across the world
- Talleyr&, Kissinger, Mandela & the Kennedys included. Offering real-world examples of how diplomacy continues to have a significant impact on people`s lives, & why it will continue to do so, the question at the heart of this book for all those in power is: Who do you represent? How can you do it better. Naked Diplomacy provides the answers.

The 1:50 000 topographic map gives a more general picture of the ground features than a basic map. It shows settlements, houses, roads, cultivated areas, waterways, cutting areas, mires, rock exposures, & relief. One map sheet covers an area of 30 x 40 km & one centimetre corresponds to 500 metres on the ground. The 1:50, 000 topographic map is also an ideal complement to nautical charts as it provides useful information about the land areas adjacent to waterways. For example, all Finnish sea areas are covered by 1:50 000 topographic map sheets. ...

Name That Movie: 100 Illustrated Movie Puzzles by Paul Rogers, published by the San Francisco-based Chronicle Books, enables you to check your knowledge of mostly American films by presenting each title as a rebus with six drawings. Some are, inevitably, obvious; no proper cinema buff would puzzle over Rick’s Café Americain, Rosebud, a shower head or a statue of Christ flown by a helicopter, but many more are quite challenging! Accompanying indexes are arranged both by title & by page number, so if you are stuck you can easily find the answer or see if your favourite film is included. ...

Sarah Moss had a childhood dream of moving to Icel&, sustained by a wild summer there when she was nineteen. In 2009, she saw an advertisement for a job at the University of Iceland & applied on a whim, despite having two young children & a comfortable life in Kent. The resulting adventure was shaped by Iceland`s economic collapse, which halved the value of her salary, by the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull & by a collection of new friends, including a poet who saw the only bombs fall on Iceland in 1943, a woman who speaks to elves & a chef who guided Sarah`s family around the intricacies of Icelandic cuisine. Moss explored hillsides of boiling mud & volcanic craters & learned to drive like an Icelander on the unsurfaced roads that link remote farms & fishing villages in the far north. She watched the northern lights & the comings & goings of migratory birds, & as the weeks & months went by, she & her family learned new ways to live. ...

Namche Bazar, sheet no. 2786-03, in the topographic survey of Nepal at 1:50, 000 published by the Nepali Government in the late 1990s and early 2000s and produced from remote sensing data by Finnish cartographers as part of that country’s international aid program. There is no marking for base camps and other tourist facilities.Map specifications:Contours are at 40m intervals, with graphics and/or coloring to show various features of the terrain (glaciers with moraines and crevasses, quarries, gravel or clay pits, etc.) and
