Milan at 1:15, 000 on an indexed street plan from Touring Club Italiano, printed on light, waterproof and tear-resistant plastic paper, with an inset showing a road map of the city’s environs at 1:125, 000. Clear, elegant cartography and subtle colouring make TCI plans particularly easy to read. The plan covers most of the city within its administrative boundaries, extending from the A50 - Tangenziale Ovest part of the motorway ring to beyond the A51 - Tangenziale Est, with the exits to the Linate Airport and onto the A1 - Autostrada del Sole. Coverage north/south is roughly from the interchange between A4 and A8 (the exit to the Italian lakes) and Assago/S. Giuliano Milanese.Main traffic arteries across the city are highlighted. Metro stations are clearly marked. Churches and
other important historic or municipal buildings are prominently coloured and named. Stanfords was established in 1853 and opened their iconic Covent Garden flagship store in 1901.
