Western Africa at 1:3, 400, 000 on an indexed, double-sided map from ITMB providing coverage of the whole of Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauretania, Morocco, Senegal, Sierra Leone & Togo, plus most of Algeria & the western parts of Niger & Nigeria. The map is double-sided, dividing the region north/south with a small overlap between the sides, & coverage extends to approx. 6° east: along the Mediterranean coast to Jujel & across the Sahara to Tamanrasset both in Algeria, & along the Bight of Benin to Port Harcourt in Nigeria. Topography is presented by altitude colouring with spot heights & names of mountain ranges, deserts, etc. National parks are highlighted, although mostly without names. The map shows the network of roads & selected tracks with border crossings. Railway lines are included & regional airports are marked. Symbols indicate various places of interest including oasis.
