London Mini Street Atlas, spiral-bound format, in a series of street atlases of the capital from Philip’s. Coverage at 1:18, 103 (3.5” to 1 mile) extends to Hampstead, Stratford, Greenwich, Lewisham, Balham, Richmond & East Acton. Central London is covered at 1:9, 051 (7” to 1 mile). Current edition was published in 2012 & shows the current Congestion Charge Zone. Philip’s street atlases of London are published in a variety of sizes & formats. All versions use the same cartography but vary in coverage & in the print size – roughly, the smaller the size, the less of London is covered & in smaller print. All titles include a section showing the same area of central London in more detailed scale from the main part of the atlas. The maps indicate main traffic routes, locations of speed cameras, pedestrianized & restricted access streets, road junction names, car parks, park & ride facilities, etc. The more detailed maps of central London also show one way streets & turning restrictions. Public transport information
Includes:: railway lines with stations, Underground/ Overground/DLR stations, tramway lines with stops, riverbus piers, & bus or coach stations. Symbols indicate various facilities usually shown on street mapping such as police stations, hospitals, main post offices, plus sport grounds, markets, schools, important buildings, etc. Also marked are administrative & postal boundaries. A comprehensive index highlights key places of interest & public buildings in colour. Additional pages include a diagram of the London Transport network, central London’s theatre & cinema map, & an administrative/postcode map. The two larger sizes (not the mini atlases) also include a route planning section with mapping of the capital’s environs.IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE: In the central London section streets within the Congestion Charge Zone are outlined in green in contrast to black elsewhere. Not all of the atlases have been updated since the removal of the Western Extension in January 2011. Please check the individual description for the edition date & the presentation of the CCZ.
