Falk, one of Germany`s leading publishers of street plans, produce their town plans in two different formats. Falk Extra plans are folded in a standard way, where the whole map can be opened to view the entire area it covers. For larger cities, the same mapping is also published with a special folding system designed to show only a small section of the map at one time. The whole map can be opened but it will be cut in several places. Many find these street plans very user-friendly & easier to handle than conventional maps. The plans, which cover towns with their outer suburbs, indicate main landmarks & public buildings & show all the public transport facilities, one way streets & car parks. Plans of lager cities include a separate map of the town centre at a more detailed scale & a diagram of the underground & the suburban rail network. The plans also show the postal divisions & have an extensive street index which, where appropriate, shows individual postal codes for each street. Map legend

Topographic survey of Sweden at 1:100, 000, the Vägkartan, from the Lantmäteriet, covering most of the country in 79 double-sided maps. Please note: the mountainous regions of central & northern Sweden are not covered by this series but presented in a separate “ Fjällkartan

The maps have contours at 10 metre intervals, plus relief shading & colouring for different types of landscape: open l&, forests, alvar, marshes, etc. Boundaries of national parks & nature reserves, areas prohibited to cross-country vehicles, & restricted entry military zones are marked. The maps indicate privately maintained local roads, cycle paths with wind shelters, footpaths, etc, & include all other information expected of topographic survey at this scale. Includes:: an index of localities, street plans of main cities, a distance table & a route planner map of the whole of India. Each title comes with a small booklet with brief descriptions of main places of interest & colour photos. The maps show road & rail networks, indicating intermediate distances on many local roads. Towns & villages of particular tourist interest are highlighted & symbols mark national parks & wildlife sanctuaries, temples, etc. The base map shows rivers, lakes & local waterways system & has spot heights for peaks, but the range of elevation colouring is too finely graded to provide any useful information. No geographical coordinates are marked. The maps show the names & boundaries of local districts, indicating state capitals & district or tehsil administrative headquarters. Outside the state boundaries the colour range of the print is reduced, so only main roads are clearly visible.
