Falk, one of Germany`s leading publishers of street plans, produce their town plans in two different formats. Falk Extra plans are folded in a standard way, where the whole map can be opened to view the entire area it covers. For larger cities, the same mapping is also published with a special folding system designed to show only a small section of the map at one time. The whole map can be opened but it will be cut in several places. Many find these street plans very user-friendly & easier to handle than conventional maps. The plans, which cover towns with their outer suburbs, indicate main landmarks & public buildings & show all the public transport facilities, one way streets & car parks. Plans of lager cities include a separate map of the town centre at a more detailed scale & a diagram of the underground & the suburban rail network. The plans also show the postal divisions & have an extensive street index which, where appropriate, shows individual postal codes for each street. Map legend

Includes::
English. Falk Extra plans also include on the reverse a road map of the surrounding area.

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER ` Thomas Grant has brought together Hutchinson`s greatest legal hits, producing a fascinating episodic cultural history of post-war Britain that chronicles the end of deference & secrecy, & the advent of a more permissive society.. . Grant brings out the essence of each case, & Hutchinson`s role, with clarity & wit` Ben Macintyre, The Times ` An excellent book.. . Grant recounts these trials in limpid prose which clarifies obscurities. A delicious flavouring of cool irony, which is so much more effective than hot indignation, covers his treatment of the small mindedness & cheapness behind some prosecutions` Richard Davenport-Hines, Guardian Born in 1915 into the fringes of the Bloomsbury Group, Jeremy Hutchinson went on to become the greatest criminal barrister of the 1960s, `70s & `80s. The cases of that period changed society for ever & Hutchinson`s role in them was second to none. In Case Histories, Jeremy Hutchinson`s most remarkable trials are examined, each one providing a fascinating look into Britain`s post-war social, political & cultural history. Accessibly & entertainingly written, Case Histories provides a definitive account of Jeremy Hutchinson`s life & work. From the sex & spying scandals which contributed to Harold Macmillan`s resignation in 1963 & the subsequent fall of the Conservative government, to the fight against literary censorship through his defence of Lady Chatterley`s Lover & Fanny Hill, Hutchinson was involved in many of the great trials of the period. He defended George Blake, Christine Keeler, Great Train robber Charlie Wilson, Kempton Bunton (the only man successfully to `steal` a picture from the National Gallery), art `faker` Tom Keating, & Howard Marks who, in a sensational defence, was acquitted of charges relating to the largest importation of cannabis in British history. He also prevented the suppression of Bernardo Bertolucci`s notorious film Last Tango in Paris & did battle with Mary Whitehouse when she prosecuted the director of the play Romans in Britain. Above all else, Jeremy Hutchinson`s career, both at the bar & later as a member of the House of Lords, has been one devoted to the preservation of individual liberty & to resisting the incursions of an overbearing state. Case Histories provides entertaining, vivid & revealing insights into what was really going on in those celebrated courtroom dramas that defined an age, as well as painting a picture of a remarkable life. To listen to Jeremy Hutchinson being interviewed by Helena Kennedy on BBC Radio 4`s A Law Unto Themselves, please follow the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b 04d 4cpv You can also listen to him on BBC Radio 4`s Desert Island Discs with Kirsty Young: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b 03ddz 8m ...

Although the areas covered by maps in both series are identical (apart from some border or coastal sheets), occasionally map titles differ – only one title is shown on the grid, usually the military one. In Galicia, the Basque country & in the Catalan speaking areas the tendency now is to use local place names rather than the often better known Castilian ones. Where possible, both versions are included in our titles. Map titles listed on our website are based on information received by us at the time of publication, but sometimes maps arrive showing a completely different title! As long as the map number is as ordered, the correct map has been supplied.
