Channel Hopping Insight Flexi Map, laminated and tear-resistant map covering the coastal areas of southern England and northern France with, on the reverse, street plans of seven French towns, all indexed and with brief descriptions of main sights.On one side is road map at 1:785, 000 of the southern coast of England from London to Plymouth and the northern coast of France, extending from Oostende in Belgium to Morlaix in northern Brittany. On both sides of the Channel the map shows the road network and main railway lines, and highlights various places of interest. Ferry routes are marked, including connections from both countries to the Channel Islands. The map has no geographical coordinates and is indexed for places, points of interest, protected areas and bays. On the reverse
are street plans at scales around 1:28, 000 of central Boulogne, Calais, Cherbourg Dieppe, Le Havre and St. Malo, showing main traffic arteries, car parks and various places of interest. Caen has a more detailed street plan of its centre at 1:17, 000, plus a map of the environs extending out to the coast to include the famous Pegasus Bridge and Sword Beach from the 1944 Normandy Landings. All the plans are indexed, including a list of places of interest. Each town is given a brief description listing main places of interest within it and in the surrounding area.
