
Chamonix Mountain Adventures guide from Cirerone Press presenting recreational options in the surrounding part of the French Alps ranging from short walks & cycle rides for the whole family to long mountaineering routes to the summits. The guide is divided in chapters on walks (classic, family, hut & adventure), alpine mountaineering, mountain biking, road biking, rock climbing & bouldering, plus via ferrata routes. Each recommendation has a detailed description accompanied by an information panel (distance, grade, etc) &, as appropriate, a basic sketch map or a crag diagram. An introductory section gives general information about the region & tips for visitors; appendices provide a list of useful contacts, a basic phrasebook, information on glacier travel & rescue techniques, etc.
