Five routes across the USA: along the Atlantic or the Pacific coasts, east-west across the northern or the southern states, plus Route 66 on maps published by the San Francisco-based Mad Maps. The maps, printed on light, waterproof & tear-resistant synthetic paper, are double-sided & provide in each title a general overview map of the whole route plus more detailed panels breaking it into shorter stages. In each panel the route is highlighted across the network of local roads & cross-referenced to the accompanying lists of roadside attractions & facilities.PLEASE NOTE: The series is currently being revised. Originally produced in cooperation with Harley-Davidson, the four maps crossing the country east-west & north-south have information on Harley-Davidson dealers & Best Western Hotels, all with addresses & phone numbers. Also provided is information on the types of scenery along the route, road characteristics & route instructions with stage-by-stage mileage. The maps also give information on motorcycle laws in each state, indicating helmet & eye protection requirements.
