ADAC, Germany's equivalent of the British Automobile Association publishes an extensive series of street plans which provide detailed high-quality mapping of all the major towns & cities, including their outer suburbs. The plans name all the individual streets & indicate all the main landmarks & public buildings. All public transport facilities are shown: buses, trams, underground & overland rail lines. One way streets & car parks are indicated. Plans of larger cities include an enlargement for the city centre. The plans also show the administrative & postal divisions & have an extensive street index which, where appropriate, shows individual postal codes for each street. On the reverse, each plan has a road map at 1:100, 000, covering a very wide area around the city. Map legend

One of the titles in a series of local road maps based on the Italian topographic survey, with more place names than on other map series, especially of natural features such as mountains, mountain passes, etc. Although most maps have a contoured base, this does not always offer the presentation of the terrain expected of such cartography. The maps do show more minor local roads than the other series, if with rather limited road classification. Some maps include plans of local towns. No geographical co-ordinates are shown. Map legend

Trekking routes to the Pisang Peak from the northern part of the Annapurna Circuit presented on a contoured & GP compatible map at 1:50, 000 from Nepa Maps with a vivid presentation of the region’s mountainous terrain. The Annapurna Circuit is clearly highlighted on the map, which covers it from Thoche east of Chame, past Manang, to Ledar (Letdar) & Thorung Phedi in the north-west corner. One of the maps in the topographic survey of Peru from the country’s national survey organization, Instituto Geográfico Nacional. Contours are at 25m intervals & colouring/symbols indicate different types of terrain & vegetation. Some of the maps may contain small blank spaces representing as yet unmapped areas. Each sheet covers 30’ latitude by 30’ longitude. The maps have a 1km UTM grid & margin ticks for latitude & longitude at intervals of 1’. Publication dates vary; most maps were published in 1960s to 1990s, with some sheets revised more recently.
