
London Pocket Map is a single-sided, indexed street map at 1:12, 500 from Collins. Shows the city centre, with one-way streets, tourist information & insets of the West End for shopping, theatres & cinemas. Main roads (with road numbers) & streets are shown with an indication of one-way streets & car parks. A large part, but not all, of the central Congestion Charge Zone is demarcated, & pedestrianised areas & roads with restricted access are highlighted. Train & underground stations, railway lines & some footpaths are displayed, especially in the large parks. Postcode districts are named & boundaries are shown, & property numbers are indicated at selected points on A & B roads. Many sites & buildings of interest to the tourist are indicated (such as theatres, galleries, museums, monuments, major hotels & tourist information offices), as are markets, emergency services, post offices, libraries, public toilets, places of worship & many public & commercial buildings. Parks, gardens & squares are also displayed. Insets show the West End with a specific focus on the locations of shopping centres, famous shops, theatres & cinemas. The map covers central London from Kensington Gardens in the west to the Tower of London in the east, & from King's Cross & St. Pancras in the north to Pimlico & Kennington stations in the south.. An index of street names appears on the reverse of the map & a small plan of the Underground (for central areas) appears on the back cover.
