Includes:: a few Hindley terraces near the eastern margin (around Neville Street) its main interest is in the network of railways; these include a stretch of the main LNWR line, a stretch of the LNWR Lancashire Union Line, Bamfurlong Loop, Ince Moss Junction, Platt Bridge Junction, Platt Bridge Junction Line, Fir Tree House Junction, Bamfurlong Junction & the mineral line to Bryn Hall Sidings. Other features include Bamfurlong Colliery, part of Bryn Hall Collieries, the Leeds & Liverpool Canal Leigh Branch, Bryn Moss, Fogg`s Fold, etc. On the reverse is a section of the 1929 edition showing the eastern half of the map with the Bamfurlong Colliery & the main railway.
