A wide range of symbols highlight various services & places of interest: tourist accommodation including campsites & youth hostels, sport & recreational facilities, bird watching towers, etc. Topography is shown by spot heights, with contour lines at 50m intervals & graphics for marshes & moors added on the 1:250, 000 maps covering the northern part of the country. Larger lakes show their altitude above the sea level. Protected & restricted entry areas are clearly marked.
