Britain's Best Hotels in the AA Lifestyle Guides series; comprising a range of market-leading titles dedicated to accommodation, food and drink, and camping and caravanning in Britain, in addition to selected European guides. The guides provide a comprehensive survey of a range of pubs, hotels and restaurants as well as themed titles focussing on days out, camping and caravanning, golf courses and pet-friendly places to stay. Each of the UK guides in the series has a similar layout, with hotels, restaurants, camping and caravanning and sites organised by county, while the European format is based upon regions. Detailed listings are accompanied by colour photographs and include details of telephone numbers, addresses, e-mail, website, directions, room details, prices,
menus, local facilities and a short description of the hotel, restaurant or other destination. AA also operates a starred rating out of 5 as well as a percentage rating to help visitors distinguish between places. Introductory chapters in each book provide further information and practical guidance on the symbols and abbreviations that are used, pubs, hotels and restaurants of the year, the AA star classification system, booking online, prices, facilities for disabled guests, children, website addresses, bank and public holidays, leisure breaks and entertainment.
