Adelboden area at 1:50, 000 in a series of waterproof & tear-resistant, contoured mountain biking maps from Hallwag, each highlighting several circuits & providing route profiles, guidance on the difficulty & overall experience, etc. Each map in this series is printed on sturdy, waterproof & tear-resistant plastic, & uses the same detailed base as other hiking & cycling map series from the Hallwag – Kümmerly + Frey publishing house. Contours are at 25m intervals, enhanced by shading & excellent graphic relief to provide a very clear picture of the topography. An overprint highlights several mountain bike circuits from main towns & holiday resorts on the map, indicating the direction of the route. The routes are graded by colour-coding into five degrees of difficulty. Additional information provided on the map

Includes:: youth hostels, Friends of Nature houses or isolated countryside hotels, viewpoints, interesting sites, etc. The maps have a 1-km gird, although no Swiss national survey coordinates are provided for it. On the reverse each of the highlighted circuits is presented on a route-profile which also indicates “beauty & experience value” (changes in landscape, viewpoints, etc); difficulty; overall severity (length + difference in elevation + difficulty); distance; difference in altitude; time required; & the highest point. Topographic coverage of mainland Spain at 1:50, 000 in the MTN50 (Mapa Topográfico Nacional) series from the Centro Nacional de Información Geografica, the country’s civilian survey organization. The maps have contours at 20m intervals, enhanced by relief shading, plus colouring and/or graphics to show different types of terrain, vegetation or land use. Boundaries of national parks & other protected areas are marked. In addition to all the usual information featured on topographic mapping at this scale, detailed presentation of the road & rail networks, rural tracks & paths, etc, the maps also show campsites & mountain refuges. On more recent editions some GRs, the official long-distance hiking routes, are also marked (although not as clearly as on hiking maps from other publishers). Each map covers 29.5x 18.5 km (with adjustments in the border or coastal areas). The maps have a 1-km UTM grid, plus margin ticks for latitude & longitude at 1` intervals. - MAP TITLES: the grids shown on our website serve both the civilian & the military 1:50, 000 topographic series. Although the areas covered by maps in both series are identical (apart from some border or coastal sheets), occasionally map titles differ – only one title is shown on the grid, usually the military one. In Galicia, the Basque country & in the Catalan speaking areas the tendency now is to use local place names rather than the often better known Castilian ones. Where possible, both versions are included in our titles. Map titles listed on our website are based on information received by us at the time of publication, but sometimes maps arrive showing a completely different title! The Adirondack Quickmap from Jimapco in a more handy format, covering the mountains on a laminated, waterproof map at approx. 1:350, 000, with enlargements for the most visited areas. On one side is a road map of the Adirondacks covering an area between the Canadian border & highway 90, & extending from the Vermont border to Utica & Rome. The map has relief shading to show the region’s topography, with plenty of peak names, rivers & lakes. Colouring indicates, according to map legend, “canoeing areas, intensive use areas, primitive areas, wild forests, wilderness areas, conservation easement areas, & areas not yet determined”. The map shows the region’s road & rail networks, plus local administrative boundaries.
