Shadow updated several problem areas that plague modern forks, the steer tube is threadless to increase strength with their proprietary steer tube design increasing strength at the bearing race, which is another point where forks are prone to break. They're built from 4130 chromoly with hydroformed & butted thickness legs making them incredibly durable & tough.
