The Westbeach Upper Level Pant keeps the cold out & the heat in whilst keeping you feeling dry & comfortable. What more could you ask for? This waterproof & highly breathable pant is equipped with a moisture wicking mesh lining to draw sweat away from the skin to the outer surface where it can be evaporated. There are fully taped seams & a gaiter connection system to ensure that the snow is kept out & there is extra venting on hand should you need to let off some steam after a tough hike or crazy descent. Features Waterproof rating: 10, 000mm Breathability rating: 10, 000 g/m 2/24 DWR coating Fully seam sealed Back leg cinch Mesh lined thigh zips Gaiter connection system Moisture wicking mesh liner Velcro reinforced snap closure Waist adjustment tabs Brushed tricot lined butt Cordura reinforced hem Glossary Waterproof Rating This is measured & expressed as Hydrostatic Head in millimetres (mm). To find out the Hydrostatic Head of a fabric the manufacturer will take a clear tube & clamp their material over the bottom end. They will then fill the tube slowly with water & watch to see how high the column of water can get before the material lets drips through. The higher the hydrostatic head, the better the water protection. The European Standard a fabric must meet to be classified as waterproof is a Hydrostatic Head rating of 1500mm, & on average, outerwear fabrics tend to have a hydrostatic head of 10000mm & above. Breathability Rating Breathability is measured as a rating in grams of how much vapour a square metre of fabric will allow to pass through in 24 hours (g/m 2/24). For general use, 10000g/m 2/24 & above is desirable. It should be noted that breathable fabrics do not stop you sweating & care should be taken as to clothing worn beneath waterproof/breathable shells. High quality base layers & fleece or insulated midlayers should in themselves draw vapour from the body & pass it outwards, thus allowing the outer fabric to do its job. Cotton clothing should never be worn as part of a performance clothing layering system. DWR (Durable Water Repellent)A DWR-treated fabric will bead-up water on its surface to stop it from soaking into the fibres. This maintains breathability & shortens drying times. ...

After 20 years working with the biggest French ski brands, Eric Bob Bobrowicz created Ride Doctor, a ski brand based in Serre Chevalier. It was his belief that there was a gap in the market for people who wanted to do things differently: build REAL skis for REAL skiers at a REAL price. Now called White Doctor, Bob has just released his fifth collection of skis & at Snow + Rock we are delighted to bring you his brand exclusively in the UK. The FT 10 or Flat Tail 10 is 100mm under foot &, as the name suggests, has a flat square tail for strong edge grip & contact throughout the complete arc of the turn. It comprises a wood core, sandwich sidewall torsion box construction, small amounts of double rocker blended with lively camber & a sintered graphite base. This is a quality ski that can tackle the entire mountain in comfort & style. It sits in our All Mountain category. Available in limited numbers so dont delay. Ability Level
