Piste Prestige Jr. (Performance level: 3-7/10). The Volkl Gotama Jr. is for the Junior Jibber & has all the slope creditably of the Gotama Original, but in a smaller package. It has a very respectable 80mm under foot, which allows the ski to float easily, as well as the unique Gotama Jr. rocker too. This rocker gives the ski a smooth curvature without a flat spot, & its shallow shovel tip makes for less resistance & greater speed. This Gotama has been developed to allow younger skiers to follow dad across the whole mountain, & they will not find turn initation a problem as the rocker in the tip lets the turn initiate easily. In addition, a sensor wood core throughout delivers an especially compact riding feel, while optimal shock absorption makes this ski great for jumps & tricks in the park & pipe.
