The Volkl Fuego is still the most performance-orientated women's specific piste ski in our collection. It features Volkl's XTD Woodcore light construction & Double Grip XTD technology, which combine to give a rock solid feel & impressive acceleration on every grade of run & in any snow condition. It also uses Volkl's Bio Logic Stance technology, which reduces fatigue by raising the toe of the binding putting you in a more balanced position. Another excellent performance ski from Volkl. Features:XTD Woodcore light, Double Grip XTD, Powered by steel technology, Bio Logic stance/geometry/flex, Full Camber. Glossary:XTD Wood Core Light: Consists of a full-length lightweight wood core sitting beneath the Extended Double Grip chambers. Double Grip XTD tech: Has the most consistent pressure distribution of any construction Vlkl has ever created, offering more control, & better performance. Added height extends from tip to tail, placing more material where its needed-in support of the edges. Powered by steel technology: Layer of spring steel below the ski's core that absorbs vibration, providing additional stability for a fabulous blend of smooth-riding, yet lively performance. Bio-Logic stance: The toe of the binding is raised for a more neutral stance, resulting in better balance between the muscles in the front & rear of the legs. This stance reduces loading on the quadriceps, which undergo most of the strain in the turn. More balanced muscle action between the quads & hamstrings means better performance, & potential protection for the knees. Bio-Logic Flex: Flex is carefully matched to work in synergy with the Bio Logic stance & geometry. Stiffer in the front of the ski for quick turn initiation, & softer in the tail for easy turn exit, it enhances flex distribution & gives the skier the ultimate in comfort & control. Bio-Logic Geometry: Proprietary Bio-Logic sidecut shapes are more generous in the tip, & narrower in the tail than those of unisex skis. They feature a specific, progressive design that has a tighter radius in the front of the ski for easier turn initiation & a longer radius toward the tail. The narrower tail allows the skier to finish the turn with less effort, allowing her to transition from one turn to the next with ease. This also reduces the load on the knees during the end of the turn. Full Camber: Provides maximum control, precision & ride quietness in both gliding & slight edging situations.
