Rondo is a sculptural cufflink recalling Art Deco. It play with ideas of extrusion & intrusion with an ingeniously cut blue mother of pearl piece which forms both a recess in the polished ground & a step or shelf in a crescent formation. I like the subtle juxtaposition of the different qualities of reflected light - from the semi-precious material which has lustre to the brighter & harder aspect of polished metal.
