This design is inspired by the Victorian practice of, as it were, honouring plants by painting them rather carefully & them framing the result in an elaborate border, especially as it relates to those which have therapuetic value. Amongst which, depicted here are: echinacea, ginkgo, gardenia & camellia. This piece was designed with an Italian printed house & printed in Italy. We wanted superior definition to show of all the little, fascinating details in the design & to make a feature of the rather subtle palette of soft varied blues, from Prussian through royal blue to cyan, madder pinks, carmine, ochre & radiant greys. A subtle shirt with masses of intrigue. Single button cuff, pure cotton, classic collar in an intelligent tailored fit derived from the collar size
