There's a nod to the 1950's here with this beautiful fabric from Italy's Lanificio. The wool & cotton blend is perfect for autumn & spring so nab one now & pop it in the wardrobe for later. There's a detailed texture to the check that uses tiny flecks of colour including pinks, blue & brown. It's unlined for easy styling with linen trouser or even shorts. Bring on Summer....

I was watching ' In which we serve', & trying not to cry, when I saw Noel Coward in his thick, woollen naval pea coat. What a classic. This updates the genre; a lighter wool, & with a velvet collar. It's still got the double pockets, & it's nipped in slightly at the hips for a more fitted look. It's perfect with a chunky roll neck jumper underneath.

This is a fun monochrome shirt featuring a rather nicely drawn pelican, almost certainly an American white pelican in fact, due to the prominence on the end of his bill there, a sign that it is breeding season! Single button cuff (" Jagger") tailored fit shirt. ...
