I love the way that chambray cotton fades & softens with age. However, weve done that for you here with a clever use of printing to give the effect of an old wardrobe favourite. Theres a feeling of vintage wallpaper, here, as if youve stumbled into a grand but faded country house linen cupboard. This is another highly wearable design that will look good with jeans or under a linen suit with a knitted silk tie for a very sharp look indeed. Made in Portugal & gently tailored. 42% cotton, 40% tencel & 18% linen Made in Portugal 1 button cuff Machine washable Do not tumble dry Warm iron ...

A quintessentially seasonal light chambray. The appellation ' Croker' indicates: slim fit, slanted flap pockets, 2mm AMF on OBW, collar, lapels, front & flaps, four waterfall cuff buttons with the bottom-most button sewn in a contrast thread, & a sculpted lining. Fabric is from Angelico, made in Biella, Italy. A label sewn in the indside right gives the fabric provenance. The rear & sleeves are lined with a light blue silk ginkgo print. Pockets areas are lined with the delirious Liberty fine Tana lawn ' Meadow Melody' sumptuous floral design. The collar is also lined. It has two rear vents. A fabulously fresh, easy piece for Summer & beyond. ...

My inspiration here was the imagined wardrobe of Charles Ryder, Evelyn Waughs protagonist in Brideshead Revisited. I pictured him dressing for dinner, perhaps having forgotten his own cufflinks & having to borrow a pair from Lord Marchmain. In a fair & just society, I'd be living in Castle Howard but there you go. The rope edge oval design conjures up Edwardian riding stock pins; a quiet elegance. The Amethyst has great depth & works as well with a white or blue double cuff. Rhodium plated for a brilliant finish. ...
