The sheepdog is an intelligent thinking animal Their ability to be trained to act on the sound of a whistle or word of command is renowned throughout the world & this experience will give you a knowledgeable insight You will be given an introduction to the long & patient process of training border collies their mind & basic instincts the history of sheepdogs & how the relationship between shepherd & dog became what it is today You will also get to meet the dogs up close so you can see how loveable they really are & try your hand at working them in the ring with the sheep This is a great experience for any dog lover You will begin by meeting with your teacher & expert sheepdog trainer The experience will commence with learning about the history of border collies & how they are trained Your teacher will demonstrate how to work a dog & then you will have the opportunity to try your hand at this under their supervision to put your new found knowledge to the test You will be encouraged to ask any questions you may have throughout the experience When can you go? This experience is available Sunday to Friday subject to availability throughout the year excluding August How long does this activity last? This experience will last Approx. 1 to 2 hours You need to know The minimum age is 14 years old under 18&s should be accompanied by an adult This experience is not suitable for those who are allergic to or scared of dogs There are no qualifications required This is for a voucher entitling the holder to any of the activities supplied by Activity Superstore up to the value stated You & how many others?
